Carlton is the General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer, and Partner at Alua Capital. Before joining Alua Capital in March 2021, Carlton was the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Troob Capital Management. Prior to Troob Capital, Carlton was the Chief Compliance Officer and Director of Business and Legal Affairs at Fore Research & Management, LP and GDO Capital, LP. Before joining GDO Capital, LP, Carlton practiced law at Kaye, Scholer, LLP and Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld, LLP.

Carlton serves on the firm’s Management Committee.

Carlton received an MBA degree in 2001 from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, a J.D. from New York University School of Law in 1993, and a B.A. in Business Administration from Georgetown University in 1990.
